La Perla was set up by Sergio Arzilli, an independent chocolate truffle-maker from Turin, Italy. Mr Arzilli acquired his chocolate-making experience with various chocolate companies before introducing his own range.
Both the Giandujotti and truffles in the range are truly delicious. Giandujotti are made from cocoa and toasted Piemontese hazelnuts poured into moulds while hot, making them extra soft and velvety. Tartufo Dolce Pralinato are chocolate truffles made from cocoa paste, hazelnut and honey; they are filled with thin fragments of torrone and come in various flavours.
Chicchi di Caffè are coffee beans that are perfectly balanced with a coating of dark chocolate.
La Perla additionally offer pocket-sized individually packaged chocolates. Within this range, the Fluido is a Giandujotti chocolate filled with delicious Gianduja cream. A selection of these chocolates is available, all of which benefit fromextremely attractive packaging, making them ideal gifts.
