Cantalici Chianti Classico 2019, 75cl

Deep ruby red in hue, this wine offers enticing aromas of morello cherries, forest fruits, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is harmonious and well-balanced, with a lingering finish.  

The grapes are sourced from sloping vineyards situated 400–450 meters above sea level, characterized by clay and gravel-rich soils. Hand-harvested, the grapes undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a maceration period of 15–20 days and regular pumping over to enhance extraction.  

After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months, with 70% maturing in French oak barrels (half of which are new) and the remainder in stainless steel, before being bottled.  

Cantine Cantalici was founded in 1998 by brothers Daniele and Carlo Cantalici, who brought years of expertise gained from working in local vineyards.
