Delivery is charged once for each address you send to. Northern Ireland is £14.95.

How the day works

Three steps, and only the first is yours.

  1. You choose the day

In the basket, pick the date you want it to arrive, then the service that suits it. Every hamper can go to its own address.

  2. We pack it and send it

It is packed by hand at Ditchling Common in Sussex and goes out with DHL on a next-day service, timed for your date. We email you when it has left.

  3. It arrives, tracked

DHL aims for the day you chose. The tracking link can take up to 48 hours to come alive, so don’t worry if it is quiet at first.

You may also see Free Letterbox Delivery at checkout. It is for letterbox-sized items only.

Why the date is the product

Why we sell dates, not speed
A birthday doesn’t move. Neither should the box.

About half of what leaves this building is marked for an occasion, and birthdays are the largest part of that. Those are fixed points in someone’s week. So we don’t sell you a speed and hope: you choose the date, and every service is written around it.

We deliver across the United Kingdom.

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, islands included. We don’t ship outside the UK, and we can’t deliver to the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey. Every hamper is packed by hand in Sussex and sent to one UK address on the date you chose.

Remote postcodes take a day or two longer

A few remote parts of the UK, mostly the Scottish Highlands and islands, Orkney and Shetland, and the Isles of Scilly, can take one to two extra days to reach. They are still ordinary UK delivery, at the same price. If the day matters, ring us on 01273 102712 before you order.

One service, £14.95, arriving within two working days of the date you choose. Named days and Saturdays aren’t available there.

Sending from abroad

You can be anywhere. The address can’t.

If you’re abroad and the person you’re sending to is here, it works exactly as it does for anyone else: you order from wherever you are, pick the day, and we deliver to their UK address. Prices are in pounds.

Good to know

The things people ring us about.

Answered straight, including the ones where the honest answer is that we don’t control it.

Is the day guaranteed?

No, and we won’t pretend otherwise on the one page where it matters. We send a Named Day order on a next-day service and the courier aims for the day you chose, but delivery on that day is not guaranteed. Once a van is on the road, it isn’t ours.

What we do promise is what happens if it slips. More than a day late and we get involved; if perishable food arrives more than two days late we’ll arrange a refund with you; if a parcel is lost in transit and the address was right, we take it up with the courier and put it right. Ring 01273 102712 and we’ll start on it.

What if nobody’s in when it arrives?

The courier either tries again the next working day or leaves the box at a nearby shop to collect, and tells you which. You can also ask them, through their tracking link, to leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour. That is your call to make, and once it is left where you asked, what happens next is out of our hands.

With food that won’t wait, being in for the first attempt is worth arranging.

There’s a bottle in the box. Does that change anything?

Yes. Hampers with alcohol are only sold to, and delivered to, people aged 18 or over. An adult has to sign for it, and our couriers work to Challenge 25, so a driver will ask for photo ID if the person at the door looks under 25. A UK driving licence, a passport or a PASS card all do it.

Alcohol can’t be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, and if nobody with ID can take it, it comes back to us. So if you’re sending wine to someone’s office, or to a house that’s empty in the day, pick a date when they’ll be there.

We’re ordering for Christmas. Anything to know?

Christmas is the couriers’ busiest time, and some parcels take a little longer. If you choose 22 or 23 December, there is a chance it won’t arrive before Christmas Day, so we can’t promise it will. If it has to be there, choose an earlier date.

What about chocolate, and anything that doesn’t like heat?

Heat-sensitive stock is handled separately rather than lumped in with everything else: chocolate travels on its own delivery profile. If you want to know how a particular box will travel in a warm week, ring before you order and ask. We would much rather have that conversation first.

Can I change the date after I’ve ordered?

Call 01273 102712 and ask. Whether a date can still be moved depends on where your box has got to, so the person who answers will look and tell you, rather than guess. The same goes for a changed address, or a message you want to redo.

What arrives with it?

The hamper, and a card carrying your message. The card is free and always has been. More than eight in ten of the boxes that leave here go with one, which tells you what people are really sending.

Could anything in it be swapped?

On the rare occasion an item is unavailable due to supplier issues, we may swap it for one of equal or higher value.

Can one order go to several addresses?

Yes. Add the hampers to your basket, choose which travel together and save an address for each delivery. Each hamper keeps its own message, and delivery is charged per address. For larger orders, branding or invoicing, start on the corporate page or call 01273 102712.

Pick the day. We’ll take it from there.

Compose one yourself, or start from a hamper we already send. The date is chosen in the basket.
